After earning the BSA Totin’ Chip, a Scout may carry a knife/knives consistent with National, State, and Council policies, except for the following:
- Switchblades (aka Automatic, Out the Front (OTF)) knives are not allowed.
- Fixed blade (sheath) knives may not have a blade longer than 5.5” (Texas State Law)
Policies at outside Camps (High Adventure and Out-of-State Summer Camps) may impose additional restrictions.. ::
